Your Pre-Order Questions, Answered

  • When you place a preorder, you’re reserving a piece that will be handcrafted especially for you. Unlike mass-produced products, every item is individually made in my Texas studio using traditional ceramic techniques.

Your pottery will be hand-built, dried, bisque fired, glazed, glaze fired, inspected, and carefully packaged before shipping.

  • Most preorders ship within 3–5 weeks from the date your order is placed.

This timeline allows for the complete ceramic-making process, which cannot be rushed without risking damage to the piece.

During holiday seasons or periods of high demand, production may take up to 6 weeks. If I anticipate a longer delay, I’ll let you know as soon as possible.

  • Every piece goes through multiple stages before it’s ready for your home:

    • Hand-built by me

    • Slowly air dried

    • Bisque fired

    • Hand glazed

    • Final glaze firing

    • Quality inspection

    • Carefully packaged

Each step takes time to ensure your pottery is durable, functional, and made to last.

  • No—and that’s part of what makes handmade pottery special.

Every piece is individually crafted by hand, so slight variations in shape, glaze movement, color, and painted details are natural and make each item one of a kind.

The overall design, style, and quality will closely resemble the photos, but no two pieces are ever identical.

  • Ceramics can be unpredictable. Occasionally a piece may crack, warp, or develop a glaze flaw during firing.

If a piece doesn’t meet my quality standards, I will remake it before shipping. While this may add a little extra time to your order, I want you to receive a piece I’ll be proud to send and you’ll be excited to own.

  • You’ll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order has been packaged and shipped.

Most U.S. orders arrive within 2–7 business days after shipment, depending on your location.

  • IteTo help keep shipping costs reasonable, orders containing both ready-to-ship and preorder items will normally ship together once the preorder item is complete.

If you’d like your ready-to-ship items sent separately, please contact me before placing your order. Additional shipping charges may apply.m description
